Mending a rip.
Sew the middle of the tear first.
Guiding the material, sew on either
side.
A piece of gauze can be placed under-
neath to reinforce the mending.
Patching
Place the patch over the worn part.
Sew along the edge of the patch
on the right side. Trim away the
worn part close to the seam.
