is a nonfatal system error and is followed by the message
TAPE ERROR (filenam) (user index).

equipment status table (EST).

no equipment (card reader, card punch, and/or line printer) is
defined in system.
The number of catalog tracks specified for device exceeds
the llmit allowed.
