2.4.2. INSERTING THE BATTERIES IN THE REMOTE CONTROL

The remote control is powered by 1.5V AAA batteries. To install or replace batteries:
1. Press and slide to open the cover.
2. Insert two AAA size 1.5V batteries ensuring that the "+" and "-" ends of the batteries are correctly aligned.
3. Replace the cover.
Caution:
Incorrect use of batteries can result in leaks or bursting. Be careful especially about the following points.
x Place "AAA" batteries matching the + and - signs on each battery to the + and - signs of the battery
compartment.
x Do not mix battery types.
x Do not combine new batteries with used ones. It causes shorter battery life or leakage.
x Remove dead batteries immediately to prevent battery liquid from leaking into the battery compartment.
Don't touch exposed battery acid, as it can cause damage to your skin.
Note:
If you do not intend to use the Remote Control for a long period, remove the batteries.

2.4.3. OPERATING RANGE OF THE REMOTE CONTROL

Point the top of the remote control toward the monitor's remote control sensor when pressing a button on the
RC unit.
Use the remote control within a distance of about 10m/33ft from the monitor's remote control sensor and within
a horizontal and vertical angle of 30 degrees.
Note:
The remote control may not function properly when the remote control sensor on the monitor is
under direct sunlight or strong illumination, or when there is an obstacle in the path of the signal
transmission. The effective range declines with the increase of distance and angle
