Total Command Operation

Overview

A spinning propeller, a moving boat, or any solid device attached to the boat can cause serious injury or
death to swimmers. Stop the engine immediately whenever anyone in the water is near your boat.
Total Command is a joystick based system to aid in maneuvering in marinas and other tight quarters. It
ties together the control of both main engines with the electric bow and stern thrusters, giving the operator
single‑handed control of all vessel motions.

System Start Up

1. Ensure that all the battery switches, converter switches, and engine key switches are on.
2. Place the electronic remote control (ERC) levers in neutral/idle position.
3. Start both engines. Refer to the engine owners and operations manual provided with your power
package.
4. At the helm, use the steering wheel to center the rudders in the straight ahead position. If equipped,
use the steering angle indicator on the dash to verify the rudders are centered.
5. Press the system activation switch on the Total Command switchpad.
6. All the indicators on the switchpad will light briefly. The yellow capacity indicator and red fault indicator
should go out, and the green status indicator light should remain solidly lit.
7. If the green active indicator flashes continually, or if either the capacity or fault indicator remains lit, the
system is not ready for use. Identify and correct the issue. The active indicator will remain on when the
issue is corrected.
