4 The subject is not within the working range of the camera
or is difficult for the autofocus to lock on.
[ See the working ranges of the Standard mode and
Macro mode, or refer to the Autofocus section.
The flash does not fire.
1 The flash is not set.
[ Push the Flash pop-up lever to set the flash. (P. 84)
2 The flash is being charged.
[ Wait until the Orange lamp stops blinking.
3 The subject is bright.
[ Use the Fill-In flash mode.
4 When the
indicator lights on the control panel with the
flash set, the flash is out of order.
[ Have it repaired.
The pictures just taken do not appear on the LCD
monitor.
1 The power is off or the Record mode is on.
[ Set the Record/Play switch to Play, and turn on the

2 There is no picture in the SmartMedia

The LCD monitor is hard to read.
