Install the probe holder and tubes
Pinch hazard. Parts that move can pinch and cause injury. Do not touch moving parts.
Chemical hazard. Make sure that the reagent tubes and all the sample beakers are in the correct
position in the tray to avoid leaks and the potential escape of reagents. Make sure that the tubes and
beakers are installed before using the instrument. Do not use the instrument if the tubes or beakers are
not installed.
It is necessary to install the probes correctly. Make sure that:
• The sensing part of the probe is fully into the sample.
• The probe will not hit the magnetic stir bar when the holder moves down.
• When the holder is in the upper position, the probe will not hit the beakers when the tray moves.
• The probe adapter is in the correct position. Different sensor requires different probe adapter position.
Pre-requisites:
• Make sure that the instrument is connected to a PC with the TM1000 software installed. Refer to
Operate the instrument by computer
• Set the instrument power to on. The rod moves to the upper position and the tray turns to position
1. The blue LED flashes to show that the tray is in position 1.
