Selecting Location
Install the thermostat about 5 ft. (1.5m) above the floor in an area with good air
circulation at average temperature.
Do not install the thermostat where it can be affected by:
– Drafts or dead spots behind doors and in corners.
– Hot or cold air from ducts.
– Radiant heat from sun or appliances.
– Concealed pipes and chimneys.
– Unheated (uncooled) areas such as an outside wall behind the thermostat.

    Terminal block assembly WALL PLATE FRONT SIDE MCR37449 The terminal block is inserted in the wall plate at the factory. DO NOT remove the terminal block from the wall plate. If the terminal block is accidentally removed from wall plate, please follow the next steps.
  • Page 3 Insert wires into the terminal block inputs and tighten screws HI SPEED using a screwdriver (wire color doesn’t indicate terminal designation). See “Terminal block assembly” on page 2. LOW SPEED MOTOR Place the wall plate over the gang WALL PLATE box holes and be sure the arrow is pointing UP.
