HD Cable Installation and Care
for Iso-Flo

This instruction sheet provides general guidelines for the installation and care of
electrostatic cables intended for use with HD and VC Iso-Flo
specific instructions, refer to your Iso-Flo system or power supply manual.
The electrostatic cable conducts high voltage between the electrostatic power
supply and the Iso-Flo unit. The electrostatic cable is constructed of a conductive
fiber core (1) surrounded by a corona guard (2) and a high-dielectric sheath (3).
Over the corona guard and sheath is a braided conductor (4). The braided
conductor grounds the gun through the power supply.
The braided conductor (4) is covered by a thin insulating sheet (5). The insulating
sheet is covered by a durable outer covering (6). This covering serves as an
insulator and also protects the cable from wear and contaminants.

A connecting nut is located at each end of the electrostatic cable. The connecting
nuts are internally connected to the conductive braid within the cable to provide the
grounding necessary for safe operation. One connecting nut is connected to the
power supply, and the other is connected to the Iso-Flo unit. A brass identification
tag is attached to the power supply end.
