The following strain relief devices are included in the scope of supply of the auto-

Carry out the following steps for both the power-source connection cable and the
connection cable for the auto-transformer.

WARNING! Work that is not carried out correctly can cause serious injury and
damage. The actions described below may ONLY be carried out by skilled,
Fronius-trained technicians! Observe and follow the "Safety rules" in the
"Operating Instructions" manual for the power source.
WARNING! An electric shock can be fatal. Before opening up the unit, shift the
mains switch on the unit into the "0" position and unplug it from the mains or
otherwise disconnect the power supply.
3x AWG12, 3.31mm² (.1304 in.)
Strain relief device for the MW/TT 1700/2200 power source, for 3xAWG12
connection cable
Strain relief device for the MW/TT 1700/2200 auto-transformer, for 3xAWG12
connection cable
Shift the mains switch on the auto-transformer into the "0" position
Unplug the unit from the mains or otherwise disconnect the mains power supply
Take the cover off the auto-transformer
Strip off the insulation from approx. 170 mm (6.7 in.) of the end of the connection
cable
Fit a wire-end ferrule to the PE conductor

Shorten the phase conductors to
approx. 150 mm (5.9 in.) and fit wire-
end ferrules to them
NOTE! If you do not use any
wire-end ferrules, there is a risk
of short circuiting between the
phase conductors.
7.
Insert the connection cable into the
strain relief device.
8.
Tighten the clamping nut
