Attach the receive optical fiber to the transmit connector in the inset on the faceplate of the OC-3 NI-2

card (trunk 1 interface connector TX). See Figure 23 for the OC-3 network interface
connection location.

The transmit connector is the one closest to the top of the faceplate. The receive connector is closest to
the bottom of the faceplate. The connector IDs are silkscreened inside the inset.
Attach the transmit optical fiber to the receive connector in the inset on the faceplate of the OC-3 NI-2

Allow enough slack in the cable so that the fan tray can be opened and the fans can be maintained.
Step 5
Coil the fiber loosely within the 1 RU of space to take out slack.
