3-4 Troubleshooting
Possible Causes
The Ethernet
connection may be
disconnected
The communication port
may not be terminated.
The 50 ohm
terminator(s) to the T-
connector may have
disonnected.
Terminal connection to
the console port may be
broken.
The service is not
available.
LAT software is not
installed on the host
system.
The host name is not in
the local database.
Group Codes are not
enabled.
The host is not on a
local area network.
Internet and Telnet
parameters are not set
or are set incorrectly.
Printer port and baud
rate do not match.
The printer is
disconnected.
The port may be set
incorrectly.
Action
Reconnect the Ethernet
cable.
Terminate the T-connector
on the communications
port.
Reconnect the
terminator(s).
Secure the console terminal
cable to the console port.
