General information concerning use:
The residual force due to the impact depends on the
weight and the height of fall. The energy absorber
is manufactured so that the forces generated by the
shock are less than the thresholds, that is 6 kN.
The maximum length of an Automatic Retracting Fall
Arrester is 2.70m, including all the karabiners, and it
must not be lengthened.
The product can be used as temperatures induded
between -30°C and +50°C.
Allow for the fall factors:
Depending on the position of the anchorage points, a
distinction is made between 3 fall factors:
- At fall factor 0, the anchorage point is above the
user.
- At fall factor 1, the anchorage point is level with
the shoulders of the user.
- At a fall factor 2, the anchorage point is at the
feet of the user
Work carried out with a fall factor of 2 is
particularly dangerous and should be avoided,
if possible choosing an anchorage point
located higher up (see figure 2).
