Using Handset Positioner for HATS Type 4606

4.2.1

Attaching the Cradle Positioner Assembly to HATS

Mounting Bracket UA-1534 is attached to the head of HATS as follows:
1) Attach the four alignment pins (UA-4132) to the underside of the mounting bracket (see
Fig.4.9).Tighten the pins from the top side of the bracket, sliding the cradle positioner mount
as necessary to gain access.
If the mounting bracket has been used on Type 4128-C/D, replace the alignment pins for

It is recommended that Type 4606 is checked on a regular basis. Specifically, if any part of
the handset positioning system has been dropped on the floor, or mishandled in any way,
a physical check is highly recommended. (For example, if you want Brüel & Kjær to
perform such a check for you, order a Conformance Test 4606-TCF.)
2) Use the alignment pins to place the mounting bracket on the head of HATS. The
graduations should face the front of HATS.
3) Secure the mounting bracket to HATS.
4) Use the alignment pins to place the barrel of the cradle positioner assembly on the mounting
bracket, then secure the barrel to the bracket.
