Construction of HATS

3.1.1

Head and Torso Construction

The shell of HF HATS Types 5128-C/D is made up of two parts: the torso, which is in one piece and
cannot be dismantled, and the head. The head cap can be removed, but is not intended to be
dismantled.
Tabletop HATS Type 5128-B consists of the head and a support foot.

Mouth Simulator Construction

The construction of the mouth simulator of HATS is shown in Fig.3.1. It features a
high-compliance loudspeaker and has a carefully adjusted acoustic transmission path between
the loudspeaker and the sound radiation opening, which ensures that the sound pressure level
in front of the mouth can easily be equalized.
