    MicroMod FD and allows the conception and development of own circuits with CAN connection and I/O functionality. Via pick-offs, screw terminals, switches, and poten- tiometers, the user can access the resources of the attached PCAN-MicroMod FD and check configurations or test circuits.

    4 Firmware Update of the PCAN- MicroMod FD The PCAN-MicroMod FD can be equipped with new firmware in three different ways: via CAN bus via USB connection (easiest way on the Evaluation Board) via serial RS-232 interface (only for special purposes) The following sections describe the procedures.
