SHANK ADJUSTMENT
DANGER
TO PREVENT INJURIES:
Make adjustments to Box Scraper after it has been
properly attached to tractor and secured with solid
supports.
Never work around or under equipment supported
only by hydraulics.
Hydraulics can drop equipment instantly if controls
are actuated or if hydraulic lines burst even when
power to hydraulic is shut off.
CAUTION
TO PREVENT INJURIES:
Always keep your feet and/or legs out from under the
shanks while adjusting them. It is possible for the
shanks to fall causing injury to your feet and/or legs
Shank settings are based on the vertical distance
measured from bottom edge of side plates to bottom
of shank tips. Adjust each shank height as follows.
Remove hairpin (item 2) and pin (item 1).
Adjust shank (item 3) up or down to the desired hole
setting, then replace pin and secure with hair pin.

ADJUSTMENTS

LEVELING AND PITCH ADJUSTMENT

the level surface.
TO PREVENT INJURIES:
Park the vehicle on a flat surface in a well ventilated
area.
Disengage the P.T. O.
Apply parking brake.
Stop the engine and remove the ignition key.
Wait until all moving parts have stopped before
leaving the driver's seat.
Place a level on the longer front Shank Bar.
Manually adjust either one or both of the tractor's 3-
point arm up or down to level the scraper from left to
right. Some tractors have only one arm that is
adjustable.
