Multiple Key
Commands
The following commands are examples of multiple key AIX Operating
System sequences that pedorm control functions. You can use these
commands when the AIX Operating System is not operating correctly and
all efforts at recovery have failed.
Reloading the AIX Operating System
Warning: The following control function will delete the data and
programs in memory. Shut down the AIX Operating System before
you perform this control function. If the AIX Operating System
cannot be shut down, a file system recovery operation may be
required.
Press and hold the
etrl
and the left Alt keys. Then, press the Home key to
IPL the system and reload the AIX Operating System. The operation of the
Virtual Resource Manager (VRM) is not affected.
