AIR FILTER
NOTE
NEVER let the engine run without the air filter being installed.
A dirty air filter affects the engine performance, increases fuel consumption and
makes it difficult to start.
You MUST make sure that the air filter housing is free of dust and debris.
DO NOT allow any dust or debris to enter the carburetor.

Move the choke lever to the OFF position to help prevent dirt from entering the
carburetor (1).

Remove the screw from the air filter housing (2).

Remove the air filter cover from the air filter housing (3).

Remove the inner air filter cover (4).

Remove the sponge air filter element from the housing (5).

Inspect the air filter element and replace if damaged.

Wash the air filter element in a lukewarm soap solution.

Allow the air filter element to dry naturally.

Once dry, soak the element in fresh engine oil, squeeze out any excess and reinstall.
