We recommend that a thorough visual inspection is made prior to installation. Should any damage be evident or any parts missing, ensure that Huntleigh Healthcare, Diagnostic Products Division are informed at once.

    HEALTHCARE 2. Description of the Devices The Smartsigns® LITE Series are a range of automated, non-invasive blood pressure monitors, designed to measure blood pressure using an upper arm cuff. Recommended Clinical Applications The Smartsigns® LITE Series measures systolic and diastolic blood pressures and pulse rates in subjects three years of age or older.

    HEALTHCARE Attaching the Temperature Probe to the SL510 Connecting the cuff Push the hose onto the connector on the front of the unit (Fig.1). Connect the hose to the cuff via the threaded START connector. Fig.2 Ensure that there are no kinks or compression restrictions in the tube (Fig.2).

Cleaning, Maintenance and Storage Care of your Equipment Although the Smartsigns® LITE Series is robust and has been designed to withstand normal clinical use, the unit contains delicate components which should be handled and treated with care. We recommend that the system is included into an annual calibration programme where the accuracy of the system is checked against the manufacturers' specifications.

    HEALTHCARE Error Messages and Trouble Shooting NIBP System Errors If a NIBP system error occurs during operation, an error code will be displayed in the SYSTOLIC display only. If an NIBP system error (indicated by '*' in the table below) occurs during automatic mode, the error code is stored in memory and the series automatically continues until six measurements are performed.

    HEALTHCARE Unrecoverable System Errors Safety mechanisms in the Smartsigns® LITE Series are designed to monitor for particular unrecoverable system errors in which the device may fail to operate normally and may produce a possible hazard to the user or patient.
