Do not make any modifications to the child
seat and the vehicle seat belt. Never
lubricate or grease parts on the child seat.
Never use the child seat without the seat
cover. Use an original Mercedes-Benz seat
cover, since it is an integral part of the
child seat and its statutory approval.
Approval is invalidated as soon as you
make modifications to the child seat.
Modifications to the child seat may lead to
the child not being secured sufficiently
and, particularly in the event of an
accident, abrupt braking maneuvers or a
sudden change in direction, the child may
not be restrained and may be seriously or
even fatally injured.
When using the child seat on the front
passenger seat, be sure to observe the notes
in your vehicle Operator's Manual in addition
to the following points:
Move the front passenger seat as far back
^
as possible.
Fully retract the seat cushion length.
^
The base of the child seat must always rest
^
completely on the seat cushion of the front
passenger seat.
Never place objects under or behind the
^
child restraint system, e.g. a cushion.

Caution Check that the child seat is installed
correctly before each journey. Check the
child seat regularly for damage.
Caution When securing the child seat with
the vehicle seat belt, always make sure that
the seat belt is not routed over sharp,
pointed or fragile objects The seat belt could
otherwise be damaged.

Approval

Only children with a weight of up to
22 pounds (10 kg) and who measure up to
31 inches (80 cm) in height are allowed to
travel in this child seat. Restrain the child
with the belts of the child seat.
This child seat meets all applicable
requirements of the Federal Motor Vehicle
Safety Standards.
Confirmation that the child seat corresponds
to the standards can be found on an
instruction label on the child seat.
The child seat is not approved for use in
airplanes, as the attachment of the child seat
in aircraft has not been tested.
The child seat is exclusively approved for
fastening with the vehicle seat belt or the
supplied LATCH.
Approval is invalidated as soon as you make
modifications to the child seat. Only the
manufacturer may make modifications.
The child seat may only be used for securing
your child in the vehicle. It is in no way
suitable for use as a seat outside of the
vehicle or as a toy.

Use in the vehicle

Please observe the notes in your vehicle
Operator's Manual on using the child seat.
Your child seat can be used as follows:
You should preferably install the child seat in
the rear passenger compartment on one of
the outer seats. Accident statistics show that
children secured in a suitable child seat on
one of the rear seats are safer than children
secured on the front passenger seat.
Please observe the requirements for the
state you are currently in.
