Installation with the LATCH

DANGER!
G
The LATCH must be pulled tight and must
not be twisted. If the LATCH does not
secure the child seat correctly or not at all,
in the event of an accident, abrupt braking
maneuver or a sudden change in direction,
the child may otherwise not be restrained
and may be seriously or fatally injured.
1. Securing the child in the child seat; see
X
page 10.
2. Place the child seat on a suitable vehicle
X
seat against the direction of travel and
secure it against tipping over.
Note: The inclination of the child seat is
correct if there is a space of about two
fingers at the front between the child seat
and the seat surface of the vehicle seat.

3. Lock carrying handle 5 in upper

position A.

4. Push right LATCH arm g onto ISOFIX
X
securing ring h until the hook of the arm
closes around the securing ring („click").
5. Insert LATCH j in blue seat belt
X
guides c on both sides of the child seat.
Caution Do not twist the belt.
6. Push left LATCH arm k onto ISOFIX
X
securing ring h until the hook of the arm
closes around the securing ring („click").
7. Push the child seat against the backrest of
X
the vehicle seat and pull on the loose ends of
LATCH j on both sides until it is taut.
8. Check that the child seat is installed
X
correctly.
9. If necessary, remove the child seat from
X
the vehicle and repeat steps 2 to 8 until
the child seat is secured correctly.
