Note: Remove sticker from display before use.
Note: In the following instructions, names of the control
buttons are shown in CAPS. Function information that appears
on the display is shown in BOLD CAPS.
Battery Installation
Battery is installed. Remove plastic tab to allow power.
Replace battery when LCD becomes dim or alarm level
declines.
1. Slide the POWER switch on the back to the OFF
position.
2. Remove battery cover on the back by sliding it in the
direction of the arrows.
3. Install one 1.5V AAA battery observing polarity shown
in compartment.
4. Replace the battery cover until it clicks shut.
5. Slide the POWER switch on the back to the ON
position. A brief alarm sounds and the display flashes
all segments.
Operating Instructions
A. On/Off
Slide the POWER switch on the back to turn it on
or off.
B. Tea Timers
1. When the water is at the appropriate temperature
listed on the back of the timer, press the button for
the tea being steeped. GREEN, WHITE, OOLONG/
BLACK and/or HERBAL appear on the display
above the respective length of time.
2. Press the START/STOP button to start counting
down.
Note: The channel name flashes on the display during
count down when in other channels.
3. Press the START/STOP button to interrupt
the count. Press START/STOP again to resume
the count.
4. The alarm sounds and the alarm icon () flashes on
the display when the count reaches 0:0000.
Note: Each channel has a unique alarm sound.
5. Press any button to stop the alarm and flashing.
The last count is recalled.
Note: The alarm and flashing stop automatically after 60
seconds.
