Changing motorcycle track alignment (fig. 25-
fig. 26-fig. 27)
The track alignment is the result of tests carried out in a
wide variety of conditions by our technical staff.
Modifying the track alignment is a very delicate operation,
and can be dangerous if carried out by untrained persons.
Before changing the standard setting, measure the
reference value (H, fig. 25).
The rider can modify the track alignment according to his/
her needs by changing the working position of the shock
absorber.
To change the centre-to-centre distance between ball
joints (1), slacken the locknuts (3).
Notes
Please note that the lower nut (3) has a left-hand
thread.
Adjust the rod (2) with an open-end wrench.
When finished, tighten the nuts (3) to 25 Nm.
Warning
Length of the rod (2) between the two ball joint
centres (1) should not exceed 272 mm.
