Replace the Seat Pad
Replace seat pad by
reversing order:
Put pad on headrest and
replace harness guides.
Make sure harness
guides tabs go over
metal bar.
Starting from bottom of child
restraint, snap pad on shell;
tuck in pad around harness
adjuster; pull pad up and
over headrest. Attach the
elastic straps. Make sure
pad is under headrest and
replace lower harness
guides. Rethread harness
(see section C-8).
Do not use child restraint without the seat pad.
Failure to do this can result in serious injury or
death.

To help protect your vehicle seat's upholstery from
damage, use a single layered towel underneath and
behind child restraint.
To avoid your child being seriously burned,
take the following precautions:
1. Park in the shade or where sun does not directly
hit the child restraint.
2. Cover the child restraint with a sheet or blanket
when not in use.
3. Check for hot seat and buckles before placing
child in child restraint.
