Installing the Steering
Wheel
Parts needed for this procedure:

Steering wheel

Foam collar
1
Washer
1
Locknut

Steering-wheel cover
Procedure
1.
Move the front wheel so that it points straight
ahead.
2.
Slide the foam collar, small end first, onto the
steering shaft
(Figure

Slide the steering wheel onto the steering shaft
(Figure
3).
4.
Secure the steering wheel to the steering shaft
with a washer and a locknut
5.
Torque the locknut to 27 to 35 N∙m (20 to 26
ft-lb).
6.
Press the steering-wheel cover into position on
the steering wheel

Removing the Battery

No Parts Required
Procedure
Remove the 2 wing nuts and washers securing the
top battery hold-down to the side battery hold-downs
(Figure
4). Remove the top battery hold-down and
remove the battery.
