    1.2. About This Manual This User’s Guide provides demonstration, installation, and programming instructions for the N668X scan engine. AsReader scan engines are factory programmed for the most common terminal and communications settings. An asterisk (*) next to an option indicates the default setting.

    1.5. Menu Bar Code Security Settings AsReader scan engines are programmed by scanning menu bar codes or by sending serial commands to the scan engine. If you want to restrict the ability to scan menu codes, you can use the Menu Bar Code Security settings. Contact the nearest technical support office for further information.
