Driver and front passenger airbags

If your car is equipped with the auxiliary protection device (SRS AIRBAG) of front airbags,
including the driver airbag and the front passenger airbag, when the airbag trigger
condition is met in case of a medium to severe frontal collision, the airbags will be triggered
to protect the heads and chests of the driver and the front passenger and reduce the
injuries.
Front airbag triggering process
In case of a moderate to severe frontal collision, the sensor can sense rapid
deceleration and send a signal to the control unit to trigger the front airbags
immediately.
In case of a frontal collision, the seatbelt can hold your lower body and torso to keep
you in place. The airbag is equivalent to an air cushion to stabilize and protect your
head and chest.
When the severity of the collision is not up to the critical value to trigger the airbag, the
seatbelt will provide the primary protection function, and the airbag will only provide a
minimal auxiliary protection.
