128 4-4 Start and drive
Start method
Normal start method:
Apply the parking brake firmly.
Turn off all unwanted lights and accessories.
Place the shift lever in "P" or "N" position;
Fully depress the brake pedal;
Provided that a valid key is within the vehicle, press the "Start/Stop" button to start the
vehicle.
Start method in non-power mode:
If the car cannot be started because the power of the battery in the electronic key is too low,
the car can be started in the steps as follows:
If depressing the brake and pressing "Start/Stop" button at the same time, the smart
key system warning indicator will be turned on and the buzzer will sound once;
Within 30s after the buzzer sounds, if placing the smart electronic key close to the start
switch, the buzzer will sound once again; at the time, the smart key system warning
indicator will be turned off and the car can be started.
The car can be started within 5s after the buzzer sounds.
Note
Each start time should not exceed 20s; otherwise the wiring system will be
overheated.
The car cannot be started
In the following cases, the car will not be started:
When the start button is pressed, if the smart key system warning indicator is
turned on, the buzzer sounds, and "No Key Detected" is displayed in the
intermediate information screen on the dashboard, the electronic smart key is not
in the car or not detected due to some interferences.
Even if the electronic smart key is in the car, the car cannot be started in these
cases (for example, it is on the floor, in the cup holder, in the luggage
compartment or in the right storage box).
When the start button is pressed, if the start function cannot be performed normally, it
may be caused by the following causes:
If the electronic smart key is not operated, the smart key system warning indicator
on the dashboard flashes, and "Key Battery Is Low-voltage" is displayed in the
