Chapter 3. Connecting the PCMCIA PortaCD-RW to a
Windows System
This chapter explains how to connect the PCMCIA PortaCD-RW to an IBM PC
compatible computer that utilizes PCMCIA card technology.
(For information on connecting the USB PortaCD-RW to a PC compatible
computer that features a USB port, see "Chapter 2. Connecting the USB PortaCD-
RW Drive to a Windows System" on page 9.)

Connecting the PCMCIA PortaCD-RW Drive to a PC

Please read the following instructions thoroughly. The installation procedure
varies depending on the operating system you are using.
1. Connect the
panel of the PortaCD-RW (Figure 23).

"hot swap" installation while the computer is powered on. You will insert the
card for the first time later as part of the software installation procedure.
