Hydraulic inboard steering systems MUST be fitted with a linear rudder position

The rotary rudder position sensor can be used on hydraulic inboard steering
systems to transmit the precise position of the boat's steering to the SportPilot.
Depending on your engine installation, you can mount the sensor to the steering
arm, or to the tie bar.
To allow for the bullhorn's movement, leave a loop of cable at the end of
the linear rudder position sensor.
You will plug the moulded connector into the RUDDER REF socket when
