General Warnings:

• High, prolonged fever requires medical attention, especially for young
children. Please contact your physician.
• Keep out of reach of unsupervised children. Components may be harmful
if swallowed.
• Read the enclosed instructions carefully to ensure accurate temperature
readings. Temperature readings are affected by many factors including
exercise, drinking hot or cold beverages prior to taking a reading as
well as technique.
• WARNING: It is recommended to remove the batteries from the thermometer
when it is not used for a long period. Do not dispose of batteries in fire,
recharge, put in backwards, disassemble, mix with used or other battery
types – they may explode or leak and cause injury. Waste batteries should
be deposited in a batteries recycling trash only.
• CAUTION: Do not drop the thermometer or expose to heavy shock.
• CAUTION: Do not immerse thermometer in water or any other liquid.
• CAUTION: Do not store the unit in direct sunlight, at a high temperature, in
high humidity or dust.
• CAUTION: Stop using the thermometer if it operates erratically or if display
malfunctions.
• CAUTION: Clean the thermometer probe before storing.
• CAUTION: Do not attempt to disassemble the unit except to replace
the batteries.
• CAUTION: Do not autoclave. Please note the cleaning procedures
described in this manual.
