The three-phase thermal overload protection T2PTTR1 with two time constants
detects overload under varying load conditions. The BLK_CLOSE output of the
function is used to block the closing operation of circuit breaker.

The circuit breaker failure protection CCBRBRF1 is initiated via the START input by
number of different protection functions available in the protection relay. The circuit
breaker failure protection function offers different operating modes associated with
the circuit breaker position and the measured phase and residual currents.
The circuit breaker failure protection function has two operating outputs: TRRET and
TRBU. The TRRET operate output is used for retripping its own breaker through
TRPPTRC2_TRIP. The TRBU output is used to give a backup trip to the breaker
feeding upstream. For this purpose, the TRBU operate output signal is connected to the
binary output X100:PO2.
