With your address set, you can use
your Google Home and Google
Assistant for recommendations
of a nearby mechanic?" Google Assistant will then perform a quick
search, find one near to your location then tell you the address and
the phone number.
You can also ask your Google Home for the highest rated
restaurant nearby. Google Assistant will list the best ones close by
and tell you their addresses. You can also be specific about which
restaurant types you're looking for at the time. For example you can
ask, "What are the highest-rated Chinese restaurants nearby?" You
may want to grab a piece of paper and pen beforehand to write
down what the Assistant says, as annoyingly, the information isn't
sent to the app for later reference.

Find your way

If you want to find the address of a nearby business you can say
"OK Google, tell me the address of a nearby printers" for example. If
you want to check if that place is open before you go out you can
ask Google Assistant for its opening times. You can also ask broader
questions such as "What are the opening times of the nearest
bakery?" So if you're not sure where you want to go out to eat – or
if you're looking for a specific shop or nearby business – all of these
commands can help narrow down the best places for what you
need. Thanks to Google's search engine you can check how each
restaurant was reviewed, and the Assistant will tell you the average
score and how many people reviewed it.
If you are looking to travel to these locations, Google can assist
with this too. You can ask your Google Home, for example, "How
long would it take for me to walk to the nearest Indian restaurant?"
and Google Assistant will find the nearest restaurant to you then
calculate how long it would take to walk there – all within a few
seconds of you asking.
You can also ask about business and restaurant times in other
places by specifying when speaking to Google Assistant – handy
when you're planning a holiday destination.
