Set Your Route; Listen To Your Traffic Update - Google Home Mini Manual

to get information about travel times to locations that are not your
work or home address, then you will need to specify when you ask
Google Assistant for traffic information.

Set your route

To create your route, go into the Google Home app and tap the
menu icon in the top-left corner of the screen. Under 'More settings'
click on 'Personal info' and then 'Home and work locations' . You will
see a box for your work address and another for your home's. Enter
the addresses you would like to use for your route and tap OK. You
can go back to this page at any time and enter different addresses.
To set the address of the Google Home device go back to the 'More
settings' menu in the Google Home app and under 'Devices' tap on
your Google Home and then 'Device address.' Enter the address of
the Google Home and then tap on OK.
Listen to your traffic update
With your home, work and device locations all set you can now ask
Google Assistant about your commute. Say "OK Google, how long
is my commute?" and Google Assistant will give you an estimate of
the conditions.
Your Home will tell you the estimated time go between your
work and home address along the fastest route by car. If you would
like to take a different mode of transport, you can ask Google how
long it would take to travel by train, bus, bike or walk. Unless you
specify a transport method, Google Assistant will always tell you
about a driving route.
You can also ask about traffic conditions to other locations such
as stores or airports by asking and Google will tell you how long
it will take from your Home. Bear in mind that when you're asking
Google Home questions about travel, it will always take its location
as your start destination unless you specify another, such as "OK
Google, how long will it take to get from London to Hull?"
Unless you specify a transport method,
