    WARNING: Do not adjust, repair, open, disassemble, or physically modify the UniView host device. Injury to personnel or equipment damage could occur. Return the UniView host device for servicing. WARNING: If UniView host device fails any part of the setup procedures or electrical safety tests, remove the device from operation until qualified service personnel have corrected the situation.

    Chapter 1: Description System Overview The diagram below describes how UniView receives patient data from PoC devices. The PoC devices, Masimo System, and UniView host device must be configured to the same hospital network.     Enter the Masimo System username and password credentials. The username and password are provided by your hospital Patient SafetyNet administrator. Click Login. After successful login, the Select Patient screen is displayed. See Selecting a Patient on page 13. If unable to login to the Masimo System, see Troubleshooting on page 31. Selecting a Patient After logging into a Masimo System in UniView, the Select Patient screen displays a patient list.

    Chapter 2: Operation Selecting a Screen Layout CAUTION: Always verify the parameter data displayed on the UniView layout screens match the parameter data displayed on the corresponding PoC. If the parameter data is incorrect or not displayed, see Troubleshooting on page 31.

    CAUTION: If the visual alarms are not displayed or incorrect, see Troubleshooting on page 31. Note: UniView does not generate or manage alarms. The connected devices alarms are a primary for determining that an alarm condition exists. Icon Appearance Description There are currently no active alarms, and no alarms have been silenced.
  • Page 23 UniView Chapter 2: Operation Parameter Alarms Alarming Parameters Displayed on a Layout Screen If an alarming parameter is viewable on a layout screen [3], the parameter that has exceeded the alarm limit (for example, SpO ) is displayed at the top of the screen [2].
  • Page 24 UniView Chapter 2: Operation Alarming Parameters Not Displayed on a Layout Screen If an alarming parameter is not viewable on a layout screen, then the source of the alarming parameter (for example, SEDLINE) and the parameter that has exceeded the alarm limit (for example, PSi) are displayed at the top of the screen [2].

    • The patient may need to be added to the Masimo System. To add a patient to a Masimo System, see the Operator's Manual, Patient SafetyNet Supplemental Alarm System, Series 5.5.X.X or higher or see Contacting Masimo on page 35.

    Click anywhere on the screen to close the Options menu. Adding a System Masimo System(s) must be added to UniView when UniView is opened for the first time. Additional Masimo Systems can be added to UniView after first time use.
