Local interactions
Interactions are possible between the subsystems connected to each NK82xx unit
and the locally connected I/O modules. Incoming messages can trigger one or
more command messages to other subsystems. Thanks to the high reliability of the
NK82xx units, these interactions are more secure than reactions and sequences
programmed on the management station level.
Network-wide interactions
Network-wide interactions via BACnet/IP are possible between subsystems con-
nected to any NK8225/NK8232/NK8235 unit on the automation level network.
Note: Incoming messages can be combined with the logical operators AND, OR,
XOR, and NOT.
Interaction configuration is performed at management station level via an easy-to-
use tool, and then downloaded to the NK82xx.
For details on interactions, see the DMS8000 Network, Fire & Intrusion Connec-
tivity Guide (document no.A6V10062425).
Note: NK8000 units are not certified as part of an EN54-2 fire detection system.
Therefore, NK8000 interactions should only be used in applications where they
are not in conflict with EN54 standards or national guidelines or regulations (e.g.
not for common control of remote transmission devices).
