TROUBLESHOOTING:
Problem
Burner will not light with
match/lighter
Sudden drop in gas flow
or reduced flame height
Irregular flame pattern,
flame does not run the
full length of burner

LP gas tank valve is closed
No gas flow
LP gas tank is low or empty
LP gas leak
Coupling nut and regulator not
fully connected
Obstruction of gas flow
Disengagement of burner to
valve
Spider webs or insect nest in
burner/venture tube
Burner ports clogged or
blocked
Out of gas
Excess flow; safely device may
have been activated
Burner ports are clogged or
blocked

Prevention/Cure
Make sure regulator is securely attached to the LP gas
tank per " Installing LP Gas Tank" section, then turn LP
gas tank valve to "ON"
Check if LP gas tank is empty. A.If empty exchange,
refill or replace B.If LP gas tank is not empty, refer to
"Sudden drop in gas flow or reduced flame height"
Exchange, refill or replace LP gas tank
1. Turn LP gas tank valve "OFF" .
2. Wait 5 minutes for gas to clear
3. Follow "Checking for leaks" section
Turn the coupling nut about one-half to three-quarter
additional turn until solid stop. Tighten by hand only-do
NOT use tools.
1. Clear burner/venture tube
2. Check for bent hose
Re-engage burner and valve
Clean burner/venture tube
Clean burner ports
Exchange, refill or replace LP gas tank
1.Turn control knob to "OFF" .
2. Wait 30 seconds and light outdoor fireplace per
"Lighting" section.
3.If flames are too low, resettle overfilling prevention
device:
a. Turn control knob "OFF"
b. Turn LP gas tank valve "OFF"
disconnect regulator turn control knob to "HIGH"
c. Wait one minute
. d Turn control knob to "OFF" reconnect regulator and
leak check connections, being careful not to fully open
valve
e. Light outdoor fireplace per "Lighting" section
Clean burner ports
