7.7 Routes

A Route is a collection of marks/waypoints entered in the required order
of navigation.

7.7.1 Creating a Route

A Route can be constructed using a set of existing waypoints/marks or can be
created by selecting the Tools -> Overlay -> Create -> Route menu option.
You may now begin tapping the screen to place waypoints/marks along the
route. Each consecutive waypoint will be automatically connected to the last.
Double tap the last waypoint/mark to complete the route.
It is possible to lock the route, by activating the tap-and-hold menu for the route
and selecting the Locked option. This will prevent the waypoints/marks along
the route from being inadvertently changed. To unlock the Route repeat the
above procedure.

It is possible to create a longer route, by zooming out to a map that covers the
whole route area and roughly plotting out the route. Zoom in to a more detailed
view to re-position or insert more waypoints where necessary.
