7) TO INSTALL OR REPLACE BATTERIES:

1. Be sure the cash register is plugged-in and there is power to the machine.
2. Move the control switch to the "reg1" or "reg2" position.
3. Open the printer cover (Figure A). The battery compartment is located inside the printer
compartment.
4. Remove the paper roll from the compartment.
5. Remove the battery cover (Figure B), located on the bottom of the printer compartment.
6. Position the batteries as indicated (Figure C), making sure that the positive and negative
poles are aligned correctly.
7. Replace the battery cover.
8. Re-install the paper roll (See Figure D)
NOTE: It is important that the unit is plugged in before the batteries are first installed and when being
replaced.
NOTE: Please see important Battery Information and Safety Warnings on page 3.
NOTE: In order to assure continuous battery back-up protection, it is important that the batteries be
changed at least once every year.
