Table 11 Shadow Copies fields
Field
Volume
Lists all volumes of the server on which the Shadow Copies service can be used.
Only NTFS file system data volumes that are physically located on the server
can support shadow copies. To manage shadow copies on a volume, select the
check box next to the volume name, and then choose a task from the Tasks list.
Copies
Lists the number of shadow copies on the volume.
Used Space
Lists the total disk space that is used by the shadow copies on the volume.
Shares
Lists the number of shared folders that reside on the volume. This information
can help determine whether to enable shadow copies on a volume. A greater
number of shared folders on a volume increases the likelihood that users might
need access to previous versions of their data.
Next Run Time
If the Shadow Copies service is enabled on the volume, this column lists the
time and date the next shadow copy will be created. Otherwise, it displays
Disabled.
