Power Measurements on 8- and 10-Fiber
Cables
The meter lets you measure power on MTP/MPO cables
made for 40G and 100G standards:
On 40G cables, the four middle fibers are dark. On 100G
cables, one fiber on each side of the connector is dark.
The meter shows -99 dB and no ovals for the dark fibers.
When the meter sees the 40G or 100G configuration, it
saves power measurements for only the 8 or 10 other
fibers.
