The IED Configuration Migration (ICM) tool can be launched from a SAM600 system context
menu. IED configuration migration will migrate the configuration from existing SAM600
version to newer SAM600 version.
When ICM is performed, the following data is migrated,
1. Hardware
2. Parameter Setting tool
3. SCL/61850 data
4. SV stream configuration

Migration Procedure

8.1.1

Export and import of project

Before starting the migration ensure that correct version of PCM600 and SAM600 Connectivity
Package Base are installed.
It is also recommended to export one copy of the project as backup.
1. Make an export of the project that need to be migrated by selecting Open/Manage
project
2. Mark the project that need to be exported and select Export Project
3. Install the type data modules versions to which migration needs to be done (e.g. ABB
SAM600 module version 1.2.0.0).
4. Open PCM600
5. Select Open/Manage project

IED configuration migration tool

To launch ICM, typedata of existing SAM600 version and newer version need to
be installed.
