UPDATING THE FIRMWARE

The firmware of this KVM may be updated at some point in the future. If
this is done, a Firmware Upgrade Package will be made available on the
www.monoprice.com website on the 38295 product page. Perform the
following steps to update the firmware.
1. Using a computer that is not part of your KVM installation, point
your browser to www.monoprice.com, then type 38295 in the
search bar to go to the product page.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the page, then click the Firmware Upgrade
Package link to download the file.
3. Extract the files from the downloaded zip file.
4. Disconnect the KVM switch from the two computers it is connected
to.
5. Press and hold the Remote Port Selector button. While still holding
the button, plug the KVM's purple USB connector into the computer
that downloaded the Firmware Upgrade Package. The two Port
LEDs will begin flashing, indicating that the KVM switch is in
Firmware Upgrade Mode.
Note: While in Firmware Upgrade Mode, normal keyboard and
mouse functions are suspended. You must complete the firmware
upgrade or exit Firmware Upgrade Mode to regain normal control of
the console.
6. Run the Firmware Upgrade Package from the location you extracted
it to.
7. After the Welcome screen clears, read the License Agreement, then
click the I Agree button.
8. Click Next to continue. The upgrade Main screen appears, which lists
all the devices capable of being upgraded in the Devices List panel.
9. Select the KVM switch, the click Next to perform the upgrade.
