23. Remove cover (32).
24. Remove mounting bolt (33) and disconnect air
conditioner tubes (34).
25. Disconnect heater hoses (35).
a Record the connection point.
26. Remove the 7 mounting bolts and air condi-
tioner unit assembly (36).

Installation
q Carry out installation in the reverse order to
removal.

a When installing the air conditioner circuit
hoses, take care that dirt, dust, water, etc. will
not enter them.
a When installing each air conditioner hose,
check that the O-ring is fitted to the joint.
a Check each O-ring for a flaw and deterioration.
a When connecting the refrigerant piping, coat
the O-rings with compressor oil for new refrig-
erant R134a (DENSO: ND-OIL 8, ZEXEL: ZXL
100 PG (equivalent to PAG 46).

Mounting bolt: 8 – 12 Nm {0.8 – 1.2 kgm}

Charging air conditioner with refrigerant
q
Charge the air conditioner circuit with refriger-
ant (R134a).
a Filling quantity: 850 ± 50 g
Refilling with coolant
q q q q
Add coolant through the coolant filler to the
specified level. Run the engine to circulate
the coolant through the system. Then,
check the coolant level again.
