Replacing the
Carbon-Canister Filter
Service Interval: Every 200 hours
1. Park the machine on a level surface, lower the
attachment, move the control handles to the
neutral-locked position, engage the parking
brake, shut off the engine, and remove the key.
2. Remove the fasteners securing the seat
assembly to the machine.

3. Disconnect the filter from the carbon canister
(Figure 46).

4. Connect the new filter to the carbon canister.

5. Install the seat support plate and the seat.

Replacing the Fuel Filter

Service Interval: Every 800 hours
The fuel line has an in-line filter. Replace it as follows:
1. Park the machine on a level surface, lower the
attachment, move the control handles to the
neutral-locked position, engage the parking
brake, shut off the engine, and remove the key.
2. Loosen the hose clamp on the carburetor side of
the filter, and remove the fuel line from the filter
(Figure 47 and
