Removing the Existing Foreline Pump from
the Agilent 7000 and 7010 Series GC/MS
The existing foreline pump may be hot. The foreline pump can cause burns if

touched when operating.
To remove the existing foreline pump from the GC/MS:
1 Vent and shut down the instrument. Venting begins the automated shut
2 Turn off the GC/MS.
3 Disconnect the instrument from its power outlet.
4 On the GC/MS foreline gauge adapter, loosen the hose clamp, and carefully

down of the GC/MS. Refer to the Agilent 7000/7010 Series Triple Quadrupole
Operating Manual for details.
remove the existing foreline hose from the end of the foreline gauge adapter
as shown in Figure 2.
