The sensor is installed and calibrated for the currently installed evaporator. At start-up, it is usually enough to perform the simple start up procedure as shown in the introduction section.

The PLC must have a timer delay to ensure frost condition (remaining water droplets from the melted ice should be frozen to the surface of the evaporator before start measuring), here the signal should be in the range 4 to 5mA, indicating clean evaporator without ice.

Ground wire should be connected to the frame with a stainless screw. The wire must be placed between the fins in the air inlet side, or where ice build-up occurs. The wire can be fixed with a special HBDF wire-clips or standard nylon (PA6) wire strips.
