Listening to an External Source

1 Connect the output jack of your audio device (ex: the
PHONES jack of a portable audio player) to the AUX IN jack
of the MC-DX40 using the commercially available stereo
mini plug cable.
2 Press the FUNCTION button to select "AUX".
3 Play the source, and adjust the volume using the VOLUME
buttons of the MC-DX40 and the audio device.
When using the PHONES jack of your player, you must adjust the
volume of the player or you may hear no sound from your MC-
DX40.
