Types of Recording
The following types of recordings are possible, depending on the audio source. For details on each operation, see
the reference pages.
When recording from DECK A
Make-Disc Synchro-

Recording*
(Make Disc On)
Record all tracks on the
selected disc in the
original order.
Synchro-Recording
(Make Disc Off)
Record from one disc or
several discs in the order
you want. You can also
record in programmed
order.
Manual Recording (page 26)
Record by selecting or editing the tracks manually.
When recording from the component connected to the DIGITAL OPTICAL IN or
DIGITAL COAXIAL IN jack

Set "Make Disc" in the menu to "On" beforehand (page 36).

Even if you select High-Speed Synchro-Recording, the recording speed automatically changes to normal speed
in the following cases.
– When the disc contains Serial Copy Management System information.
– When the play mode of DECK A is "PGM".
– When the disc in DECK A contains MP3 files.

Be sure to use a blank disc (that has not been recorded).
