    The dashboard has an immobilizer system which prevents start-up in case the system does not identify a key which has been stored before. The vehicle is supplied with two keys already programmed. The dashboard accepts a maximum of four keys at the same time: contact an Authorised Aprilia Dealer to enable these keys or to disable a key that has been lost.

  • Page 33 Two kilometres (1.24 mi) after the fuel reserve warning light is switched on, the number of kilometres travelled on reserve appears on the digital display. 02_14 When the low fuel warning light is on, it can be made to turn off and then back on again after 60 seconds by pressing the MODE selector's central button.

    With the key set to "KEY OFF" the general alarm warning light flashes to indicate activation of the locking system. To reduce battery consumption the light stops flashing after about 48 hours. 02_16 Alarms (02_17, 02_18, 02_19, 02_20, 02_21) In the event of a fault, the digital display will show the cause. Take your vehicle as soon as possible to an Authorised Aprilia Dealer.

    The engine overheating alarm is activated when the temperature reaches 115 °C (239 °F). This is indicated by the lighting up of the red general alarm indicator light and by the flashing temperature symbol and the temperature itself on the digital display. Electronic control unit disconnected alarm In the event there is no connection, the dashboard signals the fault displaying ALARM CAN ECU DISCONNECTED and lighting up the general alarm red warning light.

    The rider may cycle through the different engine maps by pressing the starter button, which may be used to select maps once 5 seconds have elapsed after engine start. CAUTION THE MAPPING SELECTION PROCEDURE IS ONLY ACTIVE WITH THE ENGINE RUNNING.

    Selector Cruise Control / AWC (02_66, 02_67, 02_68, 02_69) CRUISE CONTROL SELECTOR Cruise control is an electronic system that keeps the vehicle at a constant speed se- lected by the rider. To turn the system (switching from OFF to ON state) it is required to centrally press the cruise control selector with a long press (longer than 1 second), the system power is indicated by the warning light on the instrument cluster in flashing mode.

    CAUTION THE PIT LIMITER FUNCTION CAN ONLY BE ACTIVATED FOR FIRST GEAR. 02_73 Selector MODE (02_74) It allows you navigate through the functions of the instrument panel. 02_74 System ABS The ABS with CORNERING is a device to avoid the wheels locking in case of emer- gency braking also when cornering, thus increasing vehicle stability when braking when compared with a traditional braking system.
